I have started another blog that I thought some of you might be interested in. Poetry has become a new hobby for me. I use poetry to get my thoughts down when I'm stressed, when I want to eat or just because. I have just posted a new poem about becoming a teacher. I will be posting one that I wrote when I was tempted to go to Starbucks. I drove right by it as I was writing a poem in my head. I will also be posting past poems that I am very proud of.

I started losing weight in 2008 and over the next two years lost 106 pounds. In 2010 my life changed when I got diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. Over the next two years I gained back 100 pounds. I'm taking my life back. Today is the first day of the rest of my life. Today is my fresh start and it can be yours too.
