First day of Student Teaching

I had a great day. The 3rd graders are awesome. I love my cooperating teacher. I love the kids. I learned all their names today. :-) I just hope I do not forget a few of them. I am tired, sore feet, miss my kids (sitter has them at church), but I cannot wait to do it all over again.

I cannot wait to have my own classroom.

Write more when I'm not so pooped.

Good night.

Awesome...I used to teach 2nd and 5th grade. Enjoy the student teaching and really tap into every resource you can.

Start networking, it does help when you start looking for teaching jobs. :)

I also wanted to comment on a previous post of yours - I am so proud of your weight accomplishments and not reaching for that 'emotional' food.

Something that helps me from grabbing food, is keeping busy and doing something for 30 min and that usually takes my mind off the food item I want, or before I can have the treat, I have to drink at least 32 oz of water. By then, I don't want the treat cause I am full of water :)

Keep up the awesome work.

Hi Melissa! I'm glad you enjoyed your first day. Teaching is such hard work, but it's so rewarding. 3rd grade is a fun age. Best wishes for tomorrow.

Thought of you on Scott's birthday. I'm never quite sure what I feel on my mom's birthday.

How fun to start teaching! You get the best reward from teaching! I have been reading your blog. Keep up the good work on weight loss! I lost 9inches in 2 months but I am not losing as much. So i think I am gaining muscle first which really sucks! So i will ahve to get back on my meds that made the weight drop fast to! Keep up the great work!
