I just signed up for my first race in 2008. I am doing the Shamrock Shuffle in Chicago on March 30. I'm doing the 5K walk with my best buddy Darlene. I'm excited!! It will be fun!!
I can tell 2008 is going to be great.

I started losing weight in 2008 and over the next two years lost 106 pounds. In 2010 my life changed when I got diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. Over the next two years I gained back 100 pounds. I'm taking my life back. Today is the first day of the rest of my life. Today is my fresh start and it can be yours too.

Yay! I'm jealous - I've wanted to do that race for a while now but baby-shaped circumstances have conspired against me for 2 years in a row now. Can't wait to hear all about it so I can get psyched to hopefully run it next year!
